Videl is the daughter of Mr. Satan (Hercule) and the eventual wife of Gohan in Dragon Ball Z. A skilled martial artist in her own right, she initially believed her father was the strongest man in the world and was determined to prove herself as a crime-fighting hero in Satan City. Her tough exterior and no-nonsense attitude made her one of the strongest human fighters, even before learning to manipulate ki.

After meeting Gohan at Orange Star High School and discovering his identity as the Great Saiyaman, Videl trained under him to learn how to fly and use energy attacks. Their relationship blossomed, eventually leading to marriage and the birth of their daughter Pan. Videl's character arc shows her growth from a proud fighter who idolized her father to a humble woman who understands true strength. Her signature pigtails (which she later cut short) and determined personality have made her a fan-favorite character.
